Kompl - Be a flâneur app for iPhone and iPad

Kompl is a mobile app that shows you the places around you. Its up to you to discover them.
By selecting an interest, or character, you can play the city, collecting locations that are related to your chosen interest.

Kompl also allows you to virtually discover one city, while moving around in another.

Kompl accesses multiple sources and only shows you where popular destinations are in relation to you, without presenting a map or walking directions. As you get closer, more and more information is made available.

As a result, Kompl is a simple and engaging platform, working both online and offline, allowing you to explore an urban environment in a casual and carefree way. Kompl was inspired by the ideals of the Situationists, who pursued creating situations, deliberately constructed for the purpose of initiating authentic experiences, even adventure. Kompl provides a digital platform for exploring an urban space in a less planned, more surprising manner.

This is emphasised by the possibility to virtually tour any of our supported cities, from anywhere in the world. Yet, virtually touring one city requires physically moving around in your current location.

Kompl is created to nudge its users out of their comfort zone creating a journey that is unique while fostering a new understanding of their urban environment.
